ඔහු මෙම අදහස් පළ කළේ ඊයේ කැළණිය ප්‍රදේශයේ පැවැති ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂ රැස්වීමකදීය.
මෙහිදී නියෝජ්‍ය ඇමතිවරයා පවසා සිටියේ විශාල මහජන මුදල් ප්‍රමාණයක් උසස් අධ්‍යාපනයට වියදම් කෙරෙන නිසා අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු නිමකර වගකිවයුතු පුරවැසියන් ලෙස සමාජයට යෑමට මිස විශ්වවිද්‍යාල ප්‍රජාව සහ රට ව්‍යාකූල නොකිරීමට සිසුන් කටයුතු කළ යුතු බවයි.
