I agree that some parts of the Quran has been lost, but this is Allah's Will.

Not quite.

There is no punishment for changing religions. But there is a punishment for blasphemy. If you just become an apostate, you don't deserve death.
But when an apostate tries to blaspheme or put down Islam, then he is put to death...after being given 3 days to repent.

There is a varying islamic opinions on this though. Some islamic scholars say the apostate should be given 3 days to repent or else be punished by death. While on the other end some scholars say that there is freedom of religion and no punishment for apostasy.

The fact is the Prophet Muhammed never punished an apostate by death in his life time afaik. But he gave orders that during a time of war then people who accept Islam and then apostatize...then they should be executed. This is to stop people playing with Islam. People would become muslims for namesake and then apostate so that real muslims feel down. So the punishment of death is not merely for apostasy...but for apostasy + treason. During the time of war apostasy = treason.

Also this can only be implemented by a sharia court in an islamic state. You can't just go and kill someone on the street....it must be done by proper authorities.

And treason is a huge crime in any country. Many countries punish people who treason with death. Sri Lankan courts also punish srilankans who plot against this country with death. Likewise Islam punished those who treason against it with death.

Sri Lanka still has the death sentence. Maximum punishment is death. As for the implementation of this, I don't know. They might do it later on.

Besides that, keeping people in death row is much worse than killing them. Imagine being in death row for 50 years......and all the time not knowing whether you will survive to see another month~! That's intense psychological torture! So SL is much worse!

3.7. (මෙම) ග‍්‍රන්ථය නුඹ වෙත පහළ කර ඇත්තේ ඔහුමය. (මෙහි වාක්‍ය දෙවර්ගයකි” එනම්) මුහ්‘කමාත් 5 (නියතාර්ථ සහිත වාක්‍යයන්) ඒවා මෙම ග‍්‍රන්ථයෙහි සාරයයි.

සෙස්ස මුතෂාබිහාත් 6 (උභයාර්ථවාචි වාක්‍යය) වේ. තමන්ගේ හදවත් තුළ අගතිගාමි අදහස් ඇත්තෝ එයින් දුර්මාර්ගය සොයමින්ද අහඹු ලෙස අර්ථ සොයමින්ද උභයාර්ථවාචි වාක්‍යයන් පසුපස යති.

ඒවායෙහි නියතාර්ථය අල්ලාහ් හැර 7 කිසිවෙක් නොදනිති. (මොවුන්ට හාත්පසින් වෙනස් වූ පිරිසක් වන) ප‍්‍රඥාවෙහි ස්ථීර අය “අපි එය ගැන විශ්වාස කෙළෙමු. සියල්ලම අපගේ රබ්(පරමාධිපති)ගෙන්” යැයි කියති. තවද (එවැනි දෙයකින්) අවබෝධයක් ලැබිය හැක්කේ අන්තර්ඥානය ඇති අයට පමණකි.
