Leaf made exclusively for city drive. It's simple. It was introduced in 2010 and first gen range is abysmal but they improved. It's quiet, comfortable car. Problem is people expected it to work as a gasoline powered cars. When they introduced these there were very few charging points available and took ages to fully charge, that's what make it undesirable. New gen is miles better than those initial cars.
that's not the problem machan. problem is, from the first version to the latest 2024/25 version, leaf doesn't have a active cooling system in their battery pack. that's a death sentence.
I'm ok if they did this for first two, three version but still they're doing it. it's not a coincident. that's engineered deathtrap. and it's not using LFP, which makes the issue even worse.
and regarding the charging station, nissan uses Chademo charge port (standard of domestic japanese manufacturers) even when they started to sell in US, euro and globally.
US, europe adopted the CCS port but leaf didn't change it. they kept making leaf with chademo. so charging stations specifically needed chademo cables/ compatibility. which made adoption rate slow. later in 2022, 23 US moved to NACS port (tesla port) from the CSS. but as far I know still leafs comes with Chademo port, and owners have to carry chademo to CSS or NACS adapters.
