black holes are more interesting than you think. imagine how it would be like seeing things that takes billions of years happening within few hours. this is exactly what happens as you approach a black hole. Your friend on earth would never see you touch the event horizon. For him your time slows down and it would take infinite amount of time for him to see u touch the event horizon. but in ur frame, you wouldn't even notice a thing (at least with significantly large black holes).

These might not be the most interesting things in the universe. But they are worth studying.
