this might sound weird a bit. but this is also an advantage

you can get cheap local tickets for expensive tourist spots in sri lanka ( cheap for locals expensive for foreigners )

example :- pinnawala elephant orphanage , museum , dehiwala zoo , etc ( you might miss access to the the foreigners only clean toilet though


another advantage would be getting cheap visa for some saarc countries. some saarc countries charge less for sri lankans



now here is a disadvantage that you wont care much

you cant be a politician in sri lanka ( please keep in mind being a politician is the best job to do in sri lanka ) politicians get vehicle permits , free petrol , electricity ,bungalow , etc

another advantage would be you can come back to sri lanka and live with family and relatives in case you want to feel love more than economy. some of us dont like to end up in a wadihiti niwasa in a foreign nation when we get old. things dont go out well as expected for some people abroad. the more you get old more you need attention and love from your people.
