Sisira Wijesinghe මෙම දික්කන්ද වලව්ව පිහිටලා තියෙන්නේ යක්කල කිරිඳිවැල 231 මාර්ගයේ දික්කන්දත් වතුරුගමත් අතර. යක්කල නගරයේ සිට සැතපුම් 6 විතර ආ විට දික්කන්ද හංදිය මුණගැසෙනවා. දික්කන්ද හංදියෙන් පටන්ගන්නා මෙම විශාල වතුයාය වතරුගම පිංවත්ත හංදියතෙක් කිලෝටීටරයකට වැඩි දුරක් එකදිගට විහදෙනවා .විශාල පොල් වත්තක් වෙන මෙය පිංවත්ත හංදියට යනතෙක්ම වැට දිගටම තියෙන්නේ පැරණි කොස් ගස් වැටියක්. වත්ත හරි මැද පිහිටි කන්දේ තමා මේ වලව්ව පිහිටා ඇත්තේ. මේ වලව්ව වත්ත පාමුලට හෝ 231 පාරට හෝ ඒ අවට කිසිම තැනකට පේන්නේ නැහැ. විහාල පොල් ගස් යාය නිසාත් වෙනත් ගස් කොළං නිසාත් වලව්ව බලා ගන්න හරිම අමාරුයි. එහෙත් ඉතාමත් සොදිසියෙන් බැළවොත් යන්තමින් මේ වලව්ව බලාගන්න පුළුවන්.. නමුත් වතුරුගම හංදියෙන් මිරිස්වත්ත හංදියට යන පාරේ හමුවෙන් වෙල් යායවල් ළගදී මේ වලව්ව මනාව දැක ගන්න පුළුවන්. ඒත් ගොඩාක් ඈතින්. තව මාළිගාතැන්න හා පෙට්ටන්ගල කන්දටත් මෙය යන්තමින් දැක ගන්න පුළුවන්.දැනට මේ වත්තේ කොටසක් කුකුල් ගොවිපලක් ලෙස පවත්වාගෙන යනවා. ඔබේසේකර පවුලට අයත්ව තිබුණු මේ වලව්ව දැනට කාට අයිති දැයි දන්නේ නෑ. රජ ගෙදර පරවියෝ කියන චිත්‍රපටය මේ වලව්වේ රූගත කල බවට කියවෙනවා.

Danushka Ranjana Marasinghe this is a huge bungalow with 80 rooms according to the folklore. The villagers claim that the owner of this place was to marry an ex-president but it didn’t happen. This bungalow was built in the hope of living here after the marriage. The area belonging to this place is said to be roughly 3000 acres. The bungalow itself is located on top of a hill giving it a panoramic view of the surrounding areas. The owner is supposedly remaining single to date.

From what I know it was built by a Brit back in the 20th century. Currently I think the owners are living abroad and entrance to this place for viewing is strictly prohibited. The surrounding land is a Coconut estate of about 200 acres and word is there is this skull(head) of an elephant at the entrance to the house. Even though it has been said the house consists of more than 75 rooms people near by working in the estate confirm this is largely not true.
