Ahh thats why incoming is free isnt it? No costs involved with it ne. But cost for the out going service provider.

Few years back there must be a cost for incoming & outgoing both.

Thats why within the same network the call rates are very cheap & for other networks the rate is high. Its must be using for the call gates.

few things to correct.... interconnection charges occurred due to incoming airtime providing. why ? there's cost for outgoing and incoming....

Outgoing to same net - there's a cost for incoming call for the same net but they are getting that cost from the outgoing call... (due same network)

Outgoing to Other net - as like above there's a cost for airtime. but service provider of the recipient not get anything from that call. coz incoming is free. but there's a cost. so the recipients service provider getting a interconnection fee from originator's service provider....

due to the cost of Incoming call providing air time, Net to Non Net call charges are high. coz if its a non net call originator's service provider has pay interconnection fee to incoming air time provider....

net to net free. no double charges for same call.. both originating and receiving service provided by the same s. provider. !
