Don't worry... Cats & Dogs do not spread to humans. They can get infected from humans and also pass it on to other cats & dogs near them. Cats can catch the disease much more than the dogs. Some say it's only the cats that can transmit to another cat and dogs really cannot spread.
But to pass it on to a human is extremely low. I don't think there's even one recorded case of a human being infected from a cat.

Correct... A Mink is different... and so is a bat. There are some animals that have a close similarity of our own ACE2 receptor. From these animals a transmission of the infection is possible. That's the case with the Mink.

I was only referring to cats and dogs as these are our usual household pets. It's not the mutations.. It's the similarity of the ACE2 receptor that plays the role. So don't worry about your domestic pets.
