How many fatal accidents a day or hour ? Have Police , Courts or AG's dept dealt with the issue ? No
What is the conviction rate for fatal accidents in Sri Lanka? How many are hit and run? What have law enforcement authorities done for this No 1 killer in last 30 years ? Nothing.
Corruption in Police is also a cause for this .
At the same time we are getting a very bad reputation abroad , eg there are number of countries that have vacancies for bus drivers and none looked at Sri Lanka due to this errant behavour .
In simple terms Police act only if there is a Public pressure ! So let Public know that what they have done is not enough as the issue is not this simple .
