It was just 2 dollars and with free shipping it was a bargain, i bought them via the 3 for 4.99 offer. I tried them on couple of knives so far they seem okay.

I have a whetstone too, but the base is broken so very irritating to use it.

yup without a base they tend to move around which can be frustrating
you can try placing it on a rubber mat which would prevent it from moving around
