: ඔහොම කියන උන්ට තේරෙන්නෙ පොලිස්කාරයෝ ගෙදරට ඇවිල්ල තමන්ගෙ පවුලෙ එකෙක්ට බොරුවට ගහලා දාල ගියාට පස්සෙ. එතකොට කතා කරයි මානව හිමිකම්

yeah because police randomly pay visits and beat people with no previous reports of criminal behavior for no particular reason right. did this happen to u ? don't u understand that they do it out of suspicion ? and again it's with people who have done things sometime in past ?

there are people who have had shitty lives but didn't end up being criminals. treating criminals with dignity would only promote it.

Well those people may not had it shitty enough to cross the line of morality..

Anyway, it is possible to imprison criminals without shaming or ridiculing them. That type of punishment or "separation to avoid crimes" is enough to demote them imo

without shaming ? the problem is u are concentrating only on the criminal. that's not the only purpose of incarcerating someone. the original person who committed the crime is even negligible. what society truly tries to achieve through punishment and imprisonment is discouraging criminal behavior and promoting non violence. the method u and most other liberal extremists suggest is promoting criminal behavior for the sake of criminal's wellbeing. see the whole not the isolated criminal. wellbeing of criminals should be the least of anyone's concern. nobody comes preaching human rights when someone raped and brutally murdered a helpless child. but every liberal loses their mind when that criminal is being beaten. it's not human rights. it's a bunch of people trying to promote their world view at the expense of other people's wellbeing.

අපිත් දවසක් කඩවත මචන් එකේ සෙට් වෙලා රෑ 12 විතර බියර් පාරකුත් දාල ආතල් එකේ බයික් වලත් නෙවේ පයින් යනකොට දෙන්නෙක් පැනල id ගන්න කියල නැටුව..

එකෙක්ට අරු කනට ගැහුව.. අපි ගේම ඉල්ලුව..
පොලිසියට යමන් කියල අරන් ගියා සේරම..
අර කනට ගැහුව එකාගෙ මාම කෙනෙක් ඉන්නව පොලිසියෙ ටිකක් ලොකු පොස්ට් එකක් තියන..
අරූ අන්තිමට වැන්දෙ නැති ටික විතරයි ඌව report කරන්න එපා කියල..
අහිංසක එකෙක් අහු උනාම තමයි ඉතින් ඔය ඔක්කොම සෙල්ලම්..
පොලිස් පොන්නයින්ට මුලින් නීතිය උගන්නල ඉන්න ඕන..
මිනිස්සු නීතිය දන්නෙත් නෑ පොලිසියෙ උන් දන්නෙත් නෑ..

Idk whether a reliable research has done on this. anyway maybe shaming , getting beaten by police , getting raped by other inmates may have a significant affect on a persons avoidance in doing a criminal act... but anyway treating a criminal more as a patient than a criminal would be more humane.

Imo we have to find the right balance, I'm not being an extreme lefty here..
