බලු ත්රෙඩ් එකක්
The Rhodesian Ridgeback descends from ancient ridgebacked hunting dogs belonging to the Hottentot people (Khoi dogs). A man called, Gert Pienaar, obtained two Hottentot dogs and crossed them with various kinds of scenthounds, mastiffs and the Great Dane in the mid-19th century. This new big and powerful breed of scenthound was brought to Rhodesia were it became very popular with the local big-game hunters.
As soon as the 1930s Rhodesian Ridgebacks were exported to India and Canada and a breed club was formed in the 1920 with the aim to help standardize the breed.
මිනිසාගේ පැරණිම හිතවතා වශයෙන් නමක් දිනු අදටත් අපි කව් රුත් කැමති බල්ලා ගැන කතා කරන්නයි මම අද ආවේ ඇත්තටම දැන් හැමෝම වගේ බල්ලෙක් හදන්න හිතන නිසා මම හිතුවා බව්වෝ ගැන ටිකක් විස්තර ගෙනාවොත් ප්රයෝජනවත් කියලා..
ඉතින් මම ගොඩක්ම ආස බව්වෙක්ගෙන්ගෙන් පටන් ගන්නම්.. ඒ තමා රිඩ්ජ් බැක් (Rhodesian Ridgeback)..
මෙයාලා ගොඩක් අය කැමති බල්ලෝ වර්ගයක් වන අතර ශක්තිමත් සහ ලස්සන බල්ලෝ වර්ගයක්.. මෙයාලගේ විශේශ හදුනා ගැනීමේ ලක්ශනය තමයි පිට කොන්දේ පිහිටි ලොම් තීරුව අනෙක් පසට විහිදී යාමයි.. මෙය බව්වාගේ උරහිස් ප්රදේශයෙන් පටන් ගනී...දඩයමට දක්ශ බව්වෙකි. එමෙන්ම තම ස්වාමියාට සුවච කීකරු බව්වෙකි. ගෙදරදොර නිදහසේ ඇතිකිරිමට සුදුසු වුවත් ආගන්තුකයන්ට එතරම් ප්රියතාවයක් නොදක්වයි.
Height: 27 inches (68 cm) at the withers for males and 26 inches (66 cm) for bitches.
