Development company/owner of a free POS and inventory system can gain deep insights into business activities within a country. Here are some key things they can retrieve or calculate from user data:

    1. Market Trends & Consumer Preferences

    • Most popular brands, products, and models sold in the country.
    • Which product categories are in high demand.
    • Seasonal sales trends (e.g., what sells best during holidays, school openings, etc.).
    • Emerging trends in product popularity over time.

    2. Regional Business Insights

    • Which cities or regions have the highest sales volume.
    • Demand variations between urban and rural areas.
    • Which locations have high stock turnover (fast-selling areas) and which have excess inventory.

    3. Pricing & Profitability Data

    • Average selling price of various products in the market.
    • Price fluctuations over time for specific products or categories.
    • Profit margins for different business types (retail vs. wholesale).

    4. Supplier & Distribution Insights

    • Which suppliers businesses frequently buy from.
    • Which brands dominate the supply chain in different industries.
    • Gaps in product availability that new suppliers could fill.

    5. Business Growth & Health Indicators

    • How fast small businesses grow based on increasing sales volume.
    • Business failure rates (detect inactive accounts or businesses that suddenly stop selling).
    • Average lifespan of a small business before shutting down.

    6. Employee & Operational Insights

    • How many employees on average use the POS system per business.
    • How efficiently businesses manage stock (e.g., businesses with frequent stock shortages).
    • Employee fraud detection (e.g., excessive discounts, frequent order cancellations).

    7. Financial & Payment Trends

    • Preferred payment methods (cash, card, digital wallets, etc.).
    • How frequently businesses offer credit sales to customers.
    • Late payment trends in invoice-based businesses.

    8. Competitor & Industry Analysis

    • How many businesses are selling similar products.
    • What new product categories are entering the market.
    • Which industries are growing or declining based on transaction volume.
By analyzing this data, the owner of the system can sell insights, adjust pricing models, or launch new services based on real-world trends.

So, Who cares bn ? Be reasonable :)

if you are person who does not have adequate resources to have a fully pledge system, with all so called custom features, you will have to live with the things offered by a matching provider.

They might collect our business insights, but is there any other alternates unless you have your own system (which is troublesome if you are not an IT guy) or you get something which is costly where a response team to fix up your bugs.
