Just steam it for three minutes after cutting to smaller sized pieces. You can pan fry in high heat for a very short time too.

Also don't eat broccoli too much if you have thyroid disorders. All cruciferous veggies (eg broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and kale) have this issue.
