sripada name only called in sri lanka but entire world know this mountain peak as Adam`s peak, even have any other ideas on this cant help.

Adam's peak is a name British people gave, after they discovered Srilanka. That's no more than 300 years ago. It has almost the same reasoning behind it for naming Slave island and kandy. Sri pada has been known as the place where buddha put his foot mark for thousands of years and it's even written in thripitaka which has 2000 years old factual informations.

If you can find it and read, it clearly states four places the buddha put his foot mark in the world and, Sripada and yonaka are the places that are well described. It even has information about who went in to that region to spread buddhism and how that person came back to buddha to invite him to place a foot print in that region so the buddhist people in that region have a place to worship.Thripitaka has evidances older than the quran itself if you want to bring out the quran. The evidences that even middle east had a big buddhist community are bhamian statues. Even that was destroyed. Who knows how many Buddhist symbols were destroyed in past 2000 years in middle east?

I don't expect you to believe it and I don't think you'll go through the trouble of reading the thripitaka. If you are interested, i can recheck and give you the section of the book that has this information. I'm saying that if srilankans can facilitate muslims to worship Sripada, Saudi arabia should facilitate buddhists to worship mecca.
