Don't dream... It's not so simple. Recently the Ransomware gang asked $42m from a NewYork law firm, threatened to leak dirt on Trump as well.
Screenshots published on the site hinted that hackers stole documents pertaining to their customers, Lady Gaga, Madonna and many more.
So if the Ransoware guys could be caught there are several law enforcement guys working on it in many countries. No need for us to worry.

It's not only a matter of tracing them. Way beyond. It's cross border International extradition as well. The US DoJ wanted two Iranians for distributing ransomware - but will Teheran send them? No
Also the US issued indictment of a north Korean who started the global WannaCry spread - but Pyongyang says NO such person.
That's why I said it's not that easy. Please read around a bit before you make comments.
