3D Cinema Finally Hits Sri Lanka

The 3D cinema made its public debut on Friday (2), with the screening of The Three Musketeers, while MC’s Gold and Ultra are now screening Hugo and Tower Heist respectively.
The new theatres are located on the fifth floor of Majestic City, leading off from a bright and spacious lounge area. Among the cinemas’ features are wheel chair access ramps, and, for Gold cinema visitors, free refreshments.
The existing cinema on the fourth floor, the Platinum cinema, continues to offer the largest seating capacity, with 445 seats, and plans are underway to introduce 3D to this cinema too.
According to Cinema Complex Manager, Nelson Rajaratnampullai, tickets for the Platinum and the Ultra, which has a 148 seating capacity, are priced at Rs. 400. Tickets for the 3D Superior, with 170 seats, are priced at Rs. 600, and for the smaller but more luxurious Gold, seating a total of 50, tickets are priced at Rs. 750. Photos and text by Maryam Azwer

hmm..3d is like..mm..u can see objects in the movie like they r moving towards u..nt all the objects. letters are awesome. they wre right n frnt of my face dt i was gna touch them sharp things like swords n stuf stands out more.. n some scenes u cn feel it very well..ovrl u cn feel the difference almost all the time.it depends on the movie i guess

I agree. But transformers 3 is an exception. OMG! super aWesome!
