හාල්, සිමෙන්ති අඩු කරගන්න බැරි රටේ මොන වාහන අඩු වීමක්ද බන්???

1. They say they are trying to import vehicles via Dollar payments for taxes:

Black market dollar price would get controlled by importers. Lets say it rises to 280 lkr (Currently around 230-240/usd), the commodity values do rise, not much food items, rice, or any other essential items. -> So that part would need serious calculations and decision making.

2. The permit holders need to import vehicles, so there is a chance that they will lift the ban (After all we are living in "Pake Lankawa"), and they will import the needed vehicles with the USDs that are there fr the country with no taxes. Most probably ,they will impose high taxes, so normal people can't afford them, but only permit holders can import them for the time being while those privileged idiots can

it is unsaistainable, what we should know is that, that the future is unpredictable, the world bank says, sri lanka's economy will grow by 3.5% this year, this is a formula with having currencies stabilized, the black market dollar rate is a fragment of demand vs supply, since visitors aren't coming in, the $ rate has gone up really high, once foreign inflows gets normalized, they can no longer buy the USD at 230, it will most probably be down trend, other factor is, many car importers are running on losses and paying salaries and no cars to sell, except for the one's which are already available, unfair taxation will result in people not buying any vehicles (no body buys a vehicle for inflated prices, currently no one is purchasing any, and a purely black market unreasonable rate)

yeah. That's really stupid. You can always sell your vehicle for a better price after use.

I made a bad decision buying a cheaper vehicle thinking that I don't want to show off and just need something to travel.

Vehicles are also like lands, expensive ones become more expensive than cheaper ones. The gaps are increasing. So it's good to go for a better one.
