    වාහන door lock (ලොකු උදව්වක් PLS)

    මචන්ලා මම යතුරක් කපන්ඩ ගිහින් පොඩි අවුලක් කරගත්තා. :(

I do have a smart key in my honda fit gp1 2012. Just to get another extra key in case of a emergency i went to a locksmith at darley road, in front of dialog head office and excel world.

This person cut me a key and gave me both keys. i didnt go with my car, so i came back home and inserted the new key to driving seat door lock. (car has only one door lock)

The new key i cut and came from darley road got stuck :'( and it was a night time so i couldnt do anything. next day i tried to remove it by my self and hardly it came out. (i tried this because if not there is no way to open the car, that time my smart remote key wasnt working)

so now i threw that stupid key cut from darley road and started using the original key. now i am able to lock and unlock the door, but unlocking is very very hard. i need to put it and turn for 2 or 3 times to unlock, but lock is working in one turn.

now i do have the remote key and without a key can drive the car, but when remote key dont work one day i will have a problem again. so i want to make it properly, i think it has a small issue in door lock cylinder.

has any one else also had similar issues ? what did you do to fix it?

where is the best place to fix?

I am planning to sell the car, so cant cheat the buyer and give. so trying to fix it and sell.

please bump if you have no idea. really appreciate it

Try lubricating the lock first. Do not put anything like WD40.
If lubricating doesn't help go to Stafford motors and get some idea about the damage. Then try to find solutions depending on their quote.

Remove the inside door panel and lubricate all mechanical parts attached to the locking system. I guess this problem is not related with your new new key . Any way your new key is not 100% matching with your original one.

Most of the remote key users don't use their mechanical key at all. That's the main reason for the issue.
