People are so mad about skyrocketing cost of living, failure to fulfill the plethora of promises Yahapalana government made in 2015, inability to prove any corruption accusation against Rajapakses, they are angry of the bond scam and tax hikes, implementation of new taxes, selling off national assets, I can go on and on...

The last thing they have in mind is sympathy towards the UNP because they lost their power

and you think Mahinda did the same thing back in 2014, petrol was 167, Food was extremely high priced, and people were suffering, and he had run a dictatorship where he had white vans, all his brothers and sisters in ministerial positions, I am not supporting Mahinda Nor Ranil, but please wake up!

Most older voters know this.. this is nothing new..
the only voters who will not vote for UNP this time are the UPFA-leaning floating voters who voted for them in 2015...

The sympathy votes will definitely be in play against MS and MR..

UPFA has a chance... but if they fail to get 50% votes in Sinhala majority districts, they will lose a lot of bonus seats

But, I still think UPFA could get 115 to 120 seats if nothing major happens in the future
