උබ විකාර කියෙව්වෙ නැද්ද ?

Is there a tendancy to pass urine during the surgery ? What do you mean by cleaning?
After the surgery what do they do?
Fo they carry patient to the ward or keep in a special room ?

මම දැක්කා එක වීඩියෝ එකක කෙල්ලෙක් නර්ස්ව ඉබින්නත් යනවා. පිස්සු විකාර ගොඩයි යකූ

yeah there is a possibility of passing urine & stools, but the theatre staff will clean your body after the surgery before sending you out. so no need to worry.

yeah in most theatres there is a separate recovery area where they will monitor you for a short period of time before sending you to the ward

විකාර is due to "Ketamine" a drug they used some time back, Ketamine is very reraly used now days. so most probably you will not go through විකාර phase.

basically your experience will be like this.

You will have to keep fasting, in most cases for 6 hours( may change according to your surgery)
you will be taken to the theatre.
anesthetic team will ask you several questions ( when did you had your last meal, any allergies, any other medical conditions you are having etc)
once they are happy you will be taken to the theatre bed.
you will be given a intravenous drug
you will have the best sleep in your life
provided everything went smoothly you will wake up after the surgery in the recovery area, but you will be still sleepy & you will be sent to the ward.
there you will be fully awake

As I said before Anaesthesiology is a specialist field. The doses administered does not necessarily depend on the body weight alone. An experienced anaesthesiologist knows what needs to be done.

All IV anaesthetic drugs are used based on the body weight (mg per kg basisi). That does not stop there. Other factors include the age of the patient, what the surgery is - including the expected post-operative pain levels, how long the surgery is going to take - the time duration, drugs that you might be taking - like any CNS depressants.

OTOH, inhaled anaesthetic drugs - such as sevoflurane gets administered in standard concentrations. ALL the above mentioned factors DOES NOT come into play EXCEPT for the Age. For example the dose for a teenager is double that's required for an 80 year old. The dose required goes down with the age.

Of course the anaesthesiologist has equipment that continuously monitors the patient - mainly the blood pressure, pulse oximeter (measure the level of oxygen in blood). an EKG/ECG, the body temperature - both internal & external, an oxygen and CO2 analyzer etc

Deaths due to errors in Anaesthesia are very low - so don't get unneccasarily worried.

There are in fact completely automated robotic anaesthesia machines. The equipment manufacturers assure safety, but these are not approved to be used yet.
