y not ?
people with internet access are the easiest to fool first think they are smarter than the older generations because they know how to install a software and google properly which older generations see as magic.
second they know they will be noticed if they held some strange ideas given they are provided an echo chamber full of people having the same idea.
propagandists only have to spark the fire and it will spread by itself.
