At the end of the day, it comes down to the ability to spend isn't it..?

In 1950 SL population was only 7 millions..

Perhaps if SL couples limit their children to just 1 and after about 2 or 3 decades, we would have a sustainable population, in relation to the GDP..

But somewhere I read that high population adds to the GDP as a supporting argument for migration..

However for that matter, US and India have vastly different populations and GDP..
