    සීගිරියේ සැගවුණු රහස්.

    සීගිරිය මුලින්ම ගවේෂණය වන්නේ වසර1890දී බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය රජයේ අදායම්බදු නිලධාරියෙකු ලෙස ලංකාවේ සේවය කරන H.C.P. Bell නම් විදේශිකයා අතින්ය. වර්ථමාන ශ්‍රිලාංකීය පුරාවිද්‍යාවේ පියා ලෙස සලකන ඔහු, එකල එවන්වූ විෂයක් අධ්‍යනයකල කෙනෙකු නොව, සරලව කිව හොත් Treasure Hunter කෙනෙක්ය. ඔහු අපගේ ඉතිහාසය ගැන උනන්දුවක් දැක්වුයේ, අප ගැන තිබු කරුණාව නිසා නොව එමස්ථානවල ඇති ඉතා වටිනාවස්තු කොල්ලකෑමටය. මේ සදහා ඔවුහු තම ජීවිතය පරදුවට තබමින් දිවා රැ වෙහෙසෙමින් ඉතා දුෂ්කර ජීවිතයක් ගතකල බව සත්‍යය. එවකට ලැබුණු, සාක්කුවක දමාගෙන යනතරමේ වටිනාවස්තු, කිසිම වර්තාවක් නොමැතිව සුද්දගේම සාක්කුවෙන් එංගලන්තයට ගියේය. ඊට විශාල වස්තු රාජ්‍යයඅනුග්‍රහය ලබමින් නැව් මගින් රැගෙන ගියේය. අපගේ පරණ පිනකට අවුකන, සමාධි වැනි පිළිම නැවක දාගෙන රැගෙනයාමට බැරිතරමේ විශාල නිර්මාණවිය. නැතිනම් මේවනවිට ඒවා අනෙකුත් කුඩානිර්මාණ මෙන් මවිදේශකෞතුකාගාරවලට ගොස් මුදල්ගෙවා ප්‍රවේශපත්‍ර ලබාගනිමින් නැරබීමට සිදුවනු ඇත.
    සිංහයාට කකුල් සතරක් ඇතිබවත් එම හැමකකුලකම ඇඟිලි සතරක් බිම වදින බවත් මහපට ඇගිල්ල මදක් ඉහලින් පිහිටන බවත් හොදින් දන්නා බවත් අප දන්නා කරුණකි.
    නමුත් H.C.P. Bell මහතා සිතාසිටියේ සිංහයාට ඇගිලි3ක් තිබුබවය. එබැවින් මෙය සිංහ ද්වාරය ලෙසත් මෙම ස්ථානයLions Rock (සිහගිරිය) ලෙසත් ප්‍රකාශ කර සිටියේය. ඉහත ඇති රූපය හොදින් නිරීක්ෂණය කරන්න. එහි ඔබට පෙනෙන්නේ සිංහපාදයක්ද?​

    මෙහි පාදයේ ඇගිලි ඉදිරියට විසිරී තිබේ, එලෙසම නියපොතු ඇගිල්ලේ තරමටම මහත්ය. සිංහයන්ගේ නියපොතු එලෙස මහත් නැත, එය ඇඟිලි අතර සැගවී පිහිටන්නේය. එලෙසම ඇගිලි අතර පරතරය ලොම් ඇති නිසා එකවර දැකගත නොහැකිය. ඔබ දොරටුව ඉදිරිපිට සිටගත් විට ඔබගේ වම් අත දෙසින් පෙනෙන පාදය මෙම රුපයේ ඇත . එහි වම් පස විලුඹට ආසන්නයේ තවත් නියපොත්තක් දක්නට ලැබේ.. මෙහි ඇත්තේ පක්ෂියෙකු ගේ පාදයක් නොවේද?

    Ranmuthu Duwa (English: Island of Treasures) was the first colour full-length Sinhalese language film to be produced in Sri Lanka in 1962. It was produced by Shesha Palihakkara, Arthur C. Clarke and directed by Mike Wilson, who also made his debut as a feature director. The film stars some of those who would go on to become big names in the Sinhala Cinema, such as Gamini Fonseka, Joe Abeywickrema and Jeevarani Kurukulasooriya in the leading roles. Playback singing was by Nanda Malini, Narada Disasekara and W.D. Amaradeva. The lyrics were written by Chandrarathne Manawasinghe. It was an instant hit among the audiences and some of its songs are still famous today
