There were many instances in the past, especially during the war days where Ranil bent backwards to accommodate the whims and fancies of the "international community" at the great expense of the security of this country, just so that he can become the darling of the western world. Now Ranil and his political leeches were given a rude awakening by the Al Jazeera.

This is sweet justice after all.

Ranils supporters used to portray Ranil the "suited upper class royalist" as the person who the international community had high regard for and not the lowly Anura from Thabuttegama. The very same international community that Ranil did cartwheels to please have has now dumped Ranil in to the sewers.

How the roles have been reversed- Ranil is now nothing but a common rogue while Anura is the class act
