Sri Lanka should upscale from Economy class tourism ( low budget ) to luxurious tourism like in Maldives, Singapore.
Single handedly government sector can't do this alone, Private entities should invest here. Government wise they should loose the policies, Build a great infrastructure and regulate the industry well.
I've heard in a podcast that if budget tourism gets over controllable, We will face the condition in Japan.
Tourists will over crowded like in a slums & over culture, infrastructure, environment would be doomed.
