Actually it's not that hard to manage a 3-5 team machan.

As I believe employees expect three basic things from a company. Good salary, Good environment and a good career.

Give them a better salary that they are not able get from any where else. Support them when they have problems. So they know you are with them.

Maintain a better and environment in your office. Be kind to them.

Train them well. Teach them new skills. Increase their salaries according to their new skills. Otherwise they will leave you.

IMHO It's not straight forward like that machan. On top of all that we need to earn profits. And provide them with enough projects to work on. What if I run out of projects or don't get big budget projects. I'm a developer myself and I know what they need. I'm more than happy to offer what they want if they are doing a good job. So it's a win win situation where everyone is happy at the end of the day.

But the risks associate with that it so high. I've seen many start ups which failed due to various reasons. And above all, you know how Sri Lankans are...
