Government MP Nimal Lanza who is now close to President Ranil Wickremesinghe said SLPP General Secretary MP Sagara Kariyawasam and MP Namal Rajapaksa remained mute like kittens under the Gotabaya Rajapaksa presidency but are barking like dogs now.
Lanza was responding to these two MPs over their criticism of the President assigning portfolios to MPs of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
Referring to the recent Cabinet reshuffle, MP Lanza said the President had amalgamated portfolios scientifically, adding that it was an effective decision.
“If Namal and Sagara dispute it, they should get their heads checked for any abnormality,” he said.
Lanza also dared Sagara Kariyawasam to resign from the government and make these statements instead of falsely claiming support to the President.
“I doubt whether Kariyawasam has guts to quit the Government as it could leave all of them in a desperate situation,” he added.
Lanza further said that Namal had remained quiet when his own uncle Gotabaya Rajapaksa had reshuffled the Cabinet four times but when President Wickremesinghe reshuffled some portfolios, Namal had come out with his ‘useless chandi talks’.
“Why did Namal never have the guts to question Gotabaya Rajapaksa? He and Sagara need to get their heads checked. They talk after destroying the country,” Lanza slammed.
