මේ දිනවල සිදුකෙරෙන විදුලිය කප්පාදුව නිසි කාලසටහනකට අනුව සිදු කිරීමට ලංකා විදුලි බල මණ්ඩලය තීරණය කර ඇති බව වාර්තා වනවා. ඉදිරි පැය කිහිපය තුළ ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් වන මාධ්‍ය නිවේදනය නිකුත් කිරීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වන බවයි ලංකා විදුලි බල මණ්ඩලයෙන් අප කළ විමසීමකදී අණාවරණ වූයේ.



මේ වනවිට අන්තර්ජාලයේ විදුලි කප්පාදුව පිළිබඳ කාලසටහනක් ප්‍ර‍චාරය වෙමින් පැවතියද එය නිල වශයෙන් නිකුත් කරන ලද්දක් නොවන බවයි වාර්තා වන්නේ. එම විදුලි කප්පාදු කාලසටහන 2012 ජුලි මස 24දා සිට ටික දිනක් ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ විදුලි කප්පාදුව වෙනුවෙන් 2012-07-23 දා ලංකා විදුලි බල මණ්ඩලය මගින් නිකුත් කරන ලද්දකි.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) today announced the times of the countrywide power cuts for next two days.

It said power cuts of five and half hour duration during the day and two hour power cuts during the night will be imposed throughout the country.

The CEB said the power supply would be cut from 7.00 am to 12.30pm and either from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm or from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

What would've happened if MR didn't take the initiative and built a coal power plant in SL?

This is why we need the coal power plant in Sampoor.
Yahapalanaya should walk their talk like MR did. They keep criticizing Lakwijaya power plant but they're in no hurry to start Sampoor project. They gave priority to resettlements and now the project is on hold because the proposed land is becoming a residential area after the resettlements.

This is why yahapalana government is being criticized. People are sick of their media shows and passing blame to one another instead of working on a solution. This is not the wenasa they voted for. Yahapalana government halted numerous projects around the country, (eg: Port City, BIA phase II )and they dragged the country to a financial crisis. All this, and Ranil hamuge bootlickers be like "Mahindage kaaleth ohoma una"

How I see it, is if it wasn't for MR there won't be atleast one coal plant in SL and yahapalanaya will have to fend off terrorist invasions to colombo by now, instead of worrying about power supply of the country.

I agree that Norochchalai was must to be done at that time. But did mahinda sucessfully completed that project? No he couldn't he did it at cheap cost while pumping some money to his pocket. And the consequences are the occasional breakdowns we have experienced. look at every mahinda's project; mattala Air port, hambantota port, suriyawewa cricket ground, highway like roads in hambantota, some of them were not necessary at that time and some of them are just not giving expected return. I don't care what mahinda did if he did those with his money. But what he done was getting loans from china while making his pocket big. we have to repay those with our money not his.
