And the idiotic ideas flow. Monk has shot SWRD, and he was identified because his face was not covered. My problem with hijab is it covers the face, which is the best index of identity. Suicide bomber may come as a monk, but any one can see the face of him, unlike a muslim goni billa where you cannot say the thing is even male female or gorilla:rofl: Then who asked all women to dress in bikins? I want every body face to be seen.

And there are some idioys who cannot understand a basic!
You Prove again your brain needs washing..
  • Hijab is not the dress that face is covered, its called Burqa and islam has nothing to do with it.
  • if the government think its a threat to national security why not ban it?even though its extremism it has not done any harm like you claim
  • why dont you answer to my point?
if a person cos of his dress had free access to prime minster in the country shot him point blank then according to your this point
Why not? If the majority are in a great danger because of a minority, they should be forced to do what is due. And it had been banned in France as a part of the school unifirm, and other countries are taking cues from it. Even if it is a religous belief, if that's primitive and inhuman, it should be banned. The problem is not with the woman, but the Islam who had prescribed such a dress, where terrorists can use with ease.
dont you think the dress is a threat to national security:rolleyes:..? (no offence to any religion intended, wanted ppl to see how idiotic our educated (you got the digree from the same place as Dr.mervin ) Doctors points are;)

sis just for my info...
  1. so according to u a rapist wakes up in the morning and thinks ok now i gota go rape a women?
  2. how you think these sickos made?
  3. do u think they indresing or decreasing? any reason you see for that?
  4. what encourages/contributes for these type of mentality?
im just asking you. no hard feelings..want to know wat you see as the reason behind this..

have u ever seen the news?? seriously, people are discusting. and there are lots of them here and all over the world. i have always noticed when watching news about these things its mostly people who have troubling pasts, being raped or molested themselves as children, divorced parents, being beaten or mistreated as a child. there is not a single reason for why these people are like they are. wat about muderers? do u think most of them murder for a reason? sometimes yes and sometimes no, wat about the crazy people who go and shoot up schools or malls or just go on a killing spree?? its all in their minds because they are crazy!

as i said before, wat about the many children who are raped on a daily basis? it happens u know, every single day every few minutes tehre is a child somewhere being raped... an innocent baby. do u think that is becuase they are dressed "slutty"? no because they are children! this kind of thing happens every single day, rapists are out there, there are sex offenders all over, there are men preying on women in general, and i will stick to my guns when i say that no type of clothing will stop a rapist from getting his kicks.

You are piss poor in comprehension. my problem is about covering of face. Go and see my previous post about the medical student I was talking about. Every problem she was faced because of the identity. If you can't appriciate that, I'll just think I am talking to a tree (even trees will have better IQ)

(no offence to any religion intended, wanted ppl to see how idiotic our educated (you got the digree from the same place as Dr.mervin ) Doctors points are;)
Just piss off. Now since you cannot counter my arguments, you have started mudslinging at myself. You are a patheic looser.

My point - Muslim dress is unsuitable for today, because it covers face. Come on and discuss that without shit stirring.

      Plenty of reasons.

Yes, and most of the time. You are finding it tough because you see an eunuch every day theorugh the mirror that's neither male nor female.

  • And if you were trying to get hijab/burqa woard war in to this, forget it all. This is what I am talking about which is in koran.Just forget the word, and talk to the point. These were directive to prophets wives, who should be followed by all Muslim women.

O Ye who believe! Enter not the dwellings of the Prophet for a meal without waiting for the proper time, unless permission be granted you. But if ye are invited, enter, and, when your meal is ended, then disperse. Linger not for conversation. Lo! that would cause annoyance to the Prophet, and he would be shy of (asking) you (to go); but Allah is not shy of the truth. And when ye ask of them anything, ask it of them from behind a curtain. That is purer for your hearts and for their hearts. And it is not for you to cause annoyance to the messenger of Allah, nor that ye should ever marry his wives after him. Lo! that in Allah's sight would be an enormity. (Qur'an 33:53)

he Police Children and Women Bureau says with staistics it does read this pls;)

    Dress rehearsal for ‘moral police’
By Damith Wickremasekara The 'Moral Police' has been summoned to enforce a 'Censorship' on photographs in newspapers and Magazines and pictures in the electronic media, in a fresh effort to reduce what they call sexual crime against children and women.
Under the crackdown initially, the Police Children and Women Bureau will warn newspapers and magazines over what they perceive as 'Obscene’ photographs. Unless the warning is heeded, legal action would be initiated, OIC of the Children and Women's Bureau, Buddhika Balachandra told The Sunday Times.
    Cartoon.jpg
He said that the Police would decide on the photographs published, or TV programmes broadcast whether they would be considered "Obscene", and some newspaper publications have already been spoken to.
Chief Inspector Balachandra said that the decision to crack down followed a study on some 30 cases of sexual abuse of children and women in which the suspects had claimed that the exposure to sexual scenes and newspapers, magazines and television programmes had provoked them to commit the crime.
However, no guidelines have been drawn on how photographs or programmes would be considered as "Obscene".
He said already newspapers and magazines were being scrutinized and television programmes are being monitored to detect whether photographs and scenes that were considered "Obscene" were being published or broadcast.
He said two popular dance programmes on two separate television stations had already been identified as those going against the existing laws.
CI Balachandra said that the media would be kept under continuous scrutiny under the programme as the police hope to continue to implement the existing laws.
He said they would be acting on public complaints in addition to their own investigations and had already received such complaints. A violation of the regulations could result in a six month jail term or a Rs. 10,000 fine.

Islamic extremism is on the rise in Sri Lanka. A decade back I would see half or less the amount of hijab/burqa clad women here. Today I am bound to see at least one (often more than one) everytime I step out. I find it repungant.

As a woman I find it disgusting that women are forced or brainwashed into covering their bodies from head to toe, just to keep men in line. If men get aroused- it's their friggin problem! According to Islamic logic then men should be covered in sacks too, because women too have feelings and are likely to admire or lust after a good looking man at least once in their lifetime. Else you are not normal  So what preventives has Muhammed recommended to stop women from ogling men?

    defenitely agree with you.. :nerd:

Your ignorance is baffling and the lack of respect for all women is mind boggling. do you not think that the muslim sisters themselves wear this with no brainwashing or force because of their own faith and beliefs? You dont give enough credit to women and make it seem that they are not thinking for themselves.

BTW the quran explicitly states that women need to ONLY cover their bossoms, ie: no cleavage, nothing about a head scarf. Some claim the head scarf came from rome, Roman and Christian coins found dating to the time of the prohpet had images of women with this head dress.

The hadith (stories written 400 years after the death of the prophet) is where the the head dress comes from not the quran.

Um right. Yes, I still believe a certain amount of brainwashing is needed to convince a woman that covering her body entirely is good for her. So where does her faith and beliefs come from? Her family? The quaran? They don't just pop in her head from nowhere.

I'm not talking about force here, even though that happens as well. I'm talking about women who have been taught from childhood that once they reach a certain age they should cover up. I had a friend whose mother told her to cover up once she hit puberty, but she resisted and never did. I don't think every girl will do that. Some will no doubt believe what they've been taught and listen. That is brainwashing.

Are you telling me that conservative muslim mothers don't advice their daugters even once about the virtues of covering up? Answer this question first, and we'll take it from there.

Nice. Pull out the racist card again.

On the subject of racism and economic development. Do you know that the US was terribly racist at one time (still is to a certain extent), but still managed to become the superpower of the world?

OBSECENE is the key word here.... do u know wat obscene means?? it dont mean showing leg or arms or dressing in a cute dress or outfit.... obsecene means something vulgar, vulgar meaning nudity or sex, and i agree with that and i beleieve that should also be in affect in all countries because i dont like the idea of my children seeing such nastiness. thats totally different from wat im referring to... yall are saying the "hijab" or watever u call it, is to prevent rape, but from my point of view, that protection dont exist. it wont protect from anything.

i totally agree that there is a limit, otherwise ur being disgusting and i wont like some nasty women walking around my husband or my children with her boobs hanging out or her ass cheeks....

i think we are falling off the train here people
