8 Series GPUs?

Hey guys,

Looking towards getting some help in finding a few shops, I havn't lived in SL for very long, so I pretty much don't know where to go.

So anyways getting to the point,

Where can I buy an 8600 or an 8800 graphics card in Colombo? And what will be the price?

You got a name of a particular shop in mind please?

From what I've seen, many in Unity have no idea about the 8 series.

Looking towards getting an 8800GT atm, the price seems resonable enough, but it would be great if you could guide me to a shop.

Also, do you know how much a 600Wat PSU would cost me?

500 watt is around 5000......so must be about 7 or 8k......a good one...

Well I got a 450W (two actually) atm but the +12v rails aren't good enough for an 8800GT, so unforutnaly i'll need a new PSU too .

BTW...by any chance you may be knowing about the 8600GT?

But if i had to guess a XFX 8600GT will be about 25 or 24 k.......

Yeah i waz talking about a real 500 watt PSU....not the one with normal power plugs....one with a lot of 12v 4pin outlets.......and Sata power sockets.....

No 3870 is not available in SL. BTW if you want a Good PS Buy a Silver stone 600 W PS. Thats the PS im using

Silverstone is trusty, didn't know SL had it. Might get that one then. All in Unity aye? Coz i've always been thinking that there were some "hidden" shops .

Just Go there and spend about 6 hours You should be able to find them

Just found.Silverstone dont make good things everytime.Striders are good but some others made crap.Anyway You will only have ASUS PSUs that are good to power a PC.Others are all junk.Even I use a 2nd tier PSU made by Atrix.LOL.It is serving good and well.I run the rig for 10 hours a day for two years,still going good.

buy a casecom 550w psu..
it'll cost you around 5k..
im using it with my 8800GTS for ..
more than 6 monts and works really fine..
usage is between 12 to 16 hours per day..
