You are suggesting that other professions are saints? CYPETCO workers, Electricity workers etc does not take human lives as baits?

There are two alternatives for doctors
    1. To engage in trade union actions when necessary to win the rights

    2. To keep quiet at injustice. But others have to take trade union actions on behalf of the doctors and win them the disputed rights.

Now will you do the second?

Who told you the other professions are saints??

Seems you are a doctor. Anyway tell me about the injustice on doctors??

    1. Private Universities are started by foreign business men. Explain how millions are saved. What ever is saved will be taxes, and that will be a very small amount because it is an education institute

You have no idea on how private universities operate and how other countries in the world dealing successfully with education system.

There is not point arguing with you about this....

No matter what private universities should be implemented in Sri Lanka..... And Sri Lankans should be given more opportunities to educate themselves.

So, why should doctors be saints, when there is no one to talk on behalf of them other than themselves?

Seems you are a doctor. Anyway tell me about the injustice on doctors?? They have given every facility that could imagine. So what else do they need??
I am a doctor yes. So what are these every facilities for instance?

A supreme court judge gets a official bunglow and a vehicle. A consultant doctor (which is of same professional class) hardly gets quarters. And Supreme court judge never has night duties.

Every other worker paid overtime per hour. Doctors are paid only four hours of overtime per day, even they work a whole night.

    List is quite big.

You have absolutely no argument here. You are just clutching on straws. Now look, I am not against Private Universities. What I say is the process has to be delayed a bit until the necessary infra-structure and legislative frame work is made.

Ok I understand..... Every profession tries to compare with the other and complain about the differences. I know lots of doctors who work hard and brilliant people and also I know lots of doctors who do not give a damn about patient but only money. Personally I do not have any grudge against doctors. So do not misunderstand.. May be you are a very good kind hearted doctor... May be not... Anyway i think this is going off topic..

The reason for me asking you to explain about the injustice coz I do not understand the relativity of that to the topic..

I am not clutching on straws. I have studies in a foreign university. So I have witnessed the positives that could gain from foreign universities. how the entire education system can be developed from a positive approach. And I know how many millions of rupees go to other countries. In my case I had to go away simply because the area I am interested was not in Sri Lanka.

This should not limit to Medicine... It should be for other areas also such as Engineering etc.. Sri Lankan universities do not have the money power to invest to go with the developing world.

Well... Yes I have to agree with you about the infra-structure and legislative framework. But someone has to take an initiative otherwise with in few more years our education system will not be able to recover....

Don't be a fool. The government have to give the jobs to the teachers , so
there will be free education forever in this country. and governement teachers and
university leactures can't face the competition with the private schools and universities.

So sad is this will continue.
