Dialog WiMax - do not go for it - a waste of money

Friends,

I thought of just telling my personal experience with Dialog WiMax.

We have a WiMax connection from Dialog for few months now and they do not give the promised bandwitdh. We were supposed to get a maximum speed of 4Mbps and it never happened. The maximum speed we got so far as I remember was 1 Mbps and somedays I remember we got around 170kbps speed And then we filed a complaint through Dialog call centre and next day a technical person called us and said "we are improving but still we cannot give the promised speed". And futher he said, during the peak time you can get only around 1mbps speed out of promised 4Mbps . Fortunately we have ADSL connetions from SLT.

Their service also extremely bad. Sometimes the line get disconnected and when we call their call centre... they say......... "Sorry Sir, we doing some maintenance work..." and even they were not sure about the time they can give the connection back, and when said so why you are doing maintenance work during peak hours ... they just appologize......... This happened to us few times and fortunately we had ADSL connections from SLT

My opinoin is not to go for dialog Wimax connections based on my experience. Still the SLT ADSL is better. Dialog might improve in future but at this time I think it is better to stick in to SLT.

If you guys need I will post the speedtest dot net results on the site to prove this.
