Airtel data sim.

Today i went to buy a data sim to negombo airtel store. Its really sad to they they only issue data packages from kolpit airtel stores.

That mean to buy a airtel data sim i have to traval from negombo to colombo. What a *(&*(@#$% customer service from airtel.

If we are buying a new sim this much hard can u ever think the service after we get it.

I have change my mind. So i have changed my mind.

ya bro u have to go to colombo..but the best thing is u dont need a billing proff to get it ur bank savings account book is enough for it...just need a photo copy of the front page...

na bro i use slt adsl its the best stable connection ever and i use ip tv as well so i cant switch to another provider at the moment..

but i got very poor signal but the connection is very stable

it's a 3.5 Mbps connection and it's still good for me

I think there is no airtel 3g coverage in Negombo, that's why data sims are not available there.

yeah, they offer Data sim where 3G coverage available, that's a good decision from Airtel. I also a HSDPA customer in Airtel. So far i get a quality and cheap service.
Fully satisfied with it.

I got my Airtel Data Sim from the Airtel Head office at Narahenpita, The CS person told me that the SIM will be activated in 30mnts, but it took them 3 days to activate it, They gave me the same excuse they give all their customers - "upgrading our Network". However I must admit, I live in Ethul Kotte, and their coverage and speed is very good in this area.

Data Sim eka = Rs 500/-. Mama gatthei 300/- + tax 1GB package eka (3GB = 600/-+tax, Unlimited Data 1499/- +tax) . They did not have Data Modems, Mama wena place ekakin unlocked Brand new HSUPA Modem ekak gattha Rs 11,900/-, (HSDPA modem eka 9,500/-).
