In my area (Kelaniya) Airtel is damn slow. most of the times I am getting less than 200Kbps. I can't watch a youtube video without frequent buffering. Automatic disconnection problem is also there. Actually my previous dialog connection was much better. I changed in to airtel because I am a heavy user so hate the FUP shit. I am really dissapointed and keep this connection only unti Mobitel starts to give an unlimited plan (or may be if dialog removes the FUP shit).

Machang!!! Is any limitation in Airtell HSPDA? Dialog having FUP... mobitel also having Free GB bundle limitaion.. what about airtel is they giving unlimited downloads with out reducing speed? Are you sure Airtel Don't have FUP and giving unlimited? what is da cost.. When we look that screen shot it seems to be coming with 2.3Mbit speed netha? what about upload speed bang?

This is not accurate do the math and see .....

You say you are getting 300 KB/s and there are 5 mins and 17 seconds left so altogether there are 317 seconds left...

so 300 KB/s * 317 = 95100 KB = 95.1 MB

But the file you are downloading is only 49.7 MB and you have already downloaded 7 MB.

mach dont think too much this is only a still image. this speed always changing.
300 KB/s only that second speed. it doesnt mean its always 300 KB/s.
next second its may be 50 KB/s. approximately its around 150 KB/s.
check task mngr networking graph its not a straight line.



I have two airtel connections (limited and unlimited). limited one is very fast. but unlimited one also good. i have download more than 15GB. its still fine. no speed change.

PS:my signal strength is best its always near 100%. i dont know about FUP of airtel.

Machang I'm a Bit torrent user.. so i may download 100 GB per month.. that's why though i like HSPDA i can't go... But i want to know may be airtel is really unlimited with out FUP?
