But the problem is, all providers have to go through government because the Government owns the sea cables!... SLT is the one owning the fiber optic stations. There is no bandwidth issue in Sri Lanka! How can there be? before the TRC we were still working fine on the internet and we were downloading everything JUST FINE. The TRC tried to make DSL out of ADSL... which is the whole problem here...

I'd be surprised if this wasn't a result of a another government plan to reduce expenditure.

Sri Lanka is using the general south Asian fiber optic system... its also running on Shared bandwidth... Its got speeds of up to 1 Terra bytes (over 1024 Gbps) a second...

oi buruwo, mokada oya genius da? Meka ahapan, SLT ekka slow kare mechara kal 40GB limit ekken, but harako it was not ENFORCED... e kiyanne SLT administrators lata hithunoth witharai kare.

Dan ekken 20GB ENFORCE karala automatic wenawa... because of TRC regulations. Anika e dawas wala wadiya heavy users la hitiya nathi nisa heavy user speed ekka echara awulak na! Mawa nam ADSL use karapu awurudu 7 tama ahu wune na (45-60GB a month). But now I am... how is that?

Ekka nisa lankaraja... methana nikan hithanna eppa appi okkoma mukuth danne nathi modayo kiyala... Methana thiyenne loba kama missak, bandwidth nathi kama nemi... remember gembo internet thiyenne thawama lankawen 3% wage thama... dan mehema limit nam isarahata kohoma limit da palayan yanne methana danne nathi magul katha karanne nathuwa...

If the FUP's in SL are at 20GB when only 2% of the population is using broadband... what happens when it becomes 4%? or 10%? TRC will be stupid just like now... they are PhD holders who don't know what society is! they just think everyone is using 20GB to watch XXX.... How can un-socialized over brained people (knowledge is not intellect), who sit in A/C rooms all day judge, what happens to millions in Sri Lanka.... Government is that type of stupid, for all I can say :lmao:

Few days ago I spoke with one of SLT managers and he told me they are running out of bandwidth so they had to limit heavy users...but these days SLT is heavily advertising their limited connections!!!
how can they still provide new connections if they dont have enough bandwidth ??? SLT is selling their ADSL limited packages like pavement products these days...see how many advertisements SLT are airing every day ?!!! they are spending millions everyday to market their pavement ADSL limited packages and scamming their old customers..

In other countries old customers are just like gods to them..They are usually giving more benefits to their old customers !!but not in this fucking country every thing is a fucking scam..

thats how Sri Lanka is going to become the communication hub in South Asia..
