Old android phones may be lagging. However latest android devices are less prone to lagging. I do have a one year old tablet. I do not understand what is meant by lagging. It is very smooth and very satisfied with it. Even if there is slight lagging once in a while (which i did not observe), I do not think it is a big issue for everyday life (at least for me). On the other hand, having a android device, there are MANY MORE ADVANTAGES (compared to apple tablet) rather than worrying about this lagging.

even iphones are lagging sometimes for various reasons.

Anyway this is 2014 not 2010 or 2012. The technology as well as competition changes. People expect reasonable competitive device with reasonable hardware and software for high-end phones. That is why apple friends (after_ maths) expect at least 2 GB ram.

Indian low cost phone has 1 GB ram (100$), so if you buy a premium state of art high-end phone (600-700$) the RAM is still same (compared to other competitors)

Yeah bingo puta, im talking about 3 years back, but today we have pretty powerful handsets out there. But even today you cant get the feeling of an idevice on an android, iam not a tab person, i am more concerned about the way it feels in hand and build quality, im not worying about the prices and memory, ram etc, as long as anything runs on it fast and smooth, at least i dont know what is the processor in the phone i use everyday :d cz i dont want to. U get it now ?
You should stop suggesting about hardware specs apple should have made. Bcz the device and the os made by same company assures it runs in their own way. We dont install android on it, do we ? lol, if you dont like apple go n buy an andro. No one stops you :) but if you want to enjoy the real smart phone experience, im inviting you to use an apple for few months, then we talk :)
