Aravinda heads new cricket selection panel

Sports Minister C.B. Ratnayake has sacked the national cricket selectors headed by Asantha de Mel and has appointed a new set of national selectors headed by legendary batsman Aravinda de Silva.
The new panel includes commentator Ranjith Fernando, former Test star Amal Silva and Shabir Asgerally.
The sacked selectors under de Mel were Don Anurasiri, Chaminda Mendis and Vinodhan John.
