Dude!!! only the wafer they manufacture in US, all the testing and assembly (which requires more human labor) done outside US!!!

Yes, bro, thats what i told u processor manufacturing cost is the same for the whole world. Thats what i do not understand how the same processor in Malaysia sell for a hell of a damn cheap price.

May be they have some other great strategies that we do not have...

Simple! because Malaysia use the ones that they assemble in Malaysia, in their own 2 factories!

And when they get shipped to US from factories outside US... it will of course be higher!!!

And if US were to manufacture the whole CPU in US... the cost would have been much greater, than it is now!

EDIT:

Current pricing for C2Q6600 in US retails around US$189.00, here in Malaysia it retails around RM 635.00 which converts to something like US$186.. so this the BIG difference that you talking about!!:lol:
