    Where I'm now
According to rumors this has a idle 27W and peak 188W power draw. With $399 MSRP,it will get price/performance and performance king.I mean dude,388mm^2 in 40 nm for 2.15 billion transistors? Thats so awesome :)

well the HD5870 has 1600 shaders so its theoretically two times faster than a HD4870, its probably even faster than that because of other shader optimizations, it will De Throne the GTX295 as the fastest single PCB graphics Accelerator, GT300 on the other hand is a completely new GPU made from ground up, its execution model is drastically different, theres a good chance it will end up faster than a HD5870, but according to some people the yields of the new GPU is low as 1.7% so it will be some time till we see the GT300 in action. and also lets not forget the Larrabee also LOL.

Ofcourse ATI doesn't have CUDA and PhysX because they have ATI Stream and Havok

Infact, transcoding while CUDA enabled & ATI Stream enabled, ATI uses less CPU power and less time to get the job done than nVidia, but nVidia PhysX maybe a bit mature than ATI's Havok!

As for the low quality material, can I ask you how do know for sure? Any reliable source you can give us to read about it! I'm interested to know too!

I've used nVidia and ATI both, never had any heat problems with any of them with stock settings!

Closed Standards like Physx don't exist a long time because Developers gets in trouble when coding for multiple API's (one for nVidia one for AMD), the future of High Performance computing will be on the hands of either Open CL or DirectX Compute, that comes with DX11, I really wish Physx will be a thing of the past by 2011.
