Attention has been focused on imposing a tax for products imported from overseas through online platforms, Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena said.
Responding to a question raised by MP Mohamad Muzamil in Parliament yesterday, the Minister said the systems implemented in other countries will be studied in this regard.
Pointing out that online sales platforms have grown in a large scale at present and hence special attention must be focused on such trading platforms.
