Before buying a Guitar

I want to buy an box guitar and start practicing. Can anybody tell me what kind of a guitar should I buy and from where? How to chose a good box guitar? What are the basic brands? Also how much would I have to spend on it? Any known places for guitar classes? My budget is around 10K. Below 15,000/= is ok.

Machan, Only guitar I can truly recommend for beginner is YAMAHA F310. Considering your price range, none of any guitar come to my mind but Yamaha F310. The guitar case they supposed to give you is a Good guitar case covered from many spondge layers. You can buy F310 including Guitar case around 16000/=. I think you would better buy a guitar at Yamaha Music Center. The customer service is very excellent.

There are many advantages of buying F310. main reason is quality of the natural sound. you wouldn't get the feeling of that until you play another cheap guitar and the distance between bridge and strings is really short which is help to easily hold the barre chords. But i'm afraid to tell you can't get plugged F310 to Amp because there is No support for that.

Thanks for the info bro. I just checked the F310 from Gampaha Music Center. They have it for 21,000/= Are you sure it's around 16,000/= at Yamaha MC? As per Yamaha website they have the F310 for 19,000/=

Don't buy Indian or Chinese guita

I bought an Indian guitar sometime ago and bought a F310 as well. F310 is far better. Buy a Yamaha one and you won't regret.

They usually have seasonal offers during December and April and give a good discount. If you could wait it will be a good deal.

I saw somewhere if you buy Yamaha instruments through your music instructor, they give a discount too.

Other option would be to buy a second hand guitar.

I guess C40 guitar mentioned in a previous comment is a classical guitar.

Also, you could get a mic and pre-amp fixed to your guitar from a person in Kesbewa area. If someone need, I can find the contact details.

December වල තියෙනවා, තව April වල තියෙනවා. ඒ කාලේ ගනිද්දි මුන් Discount දෙනවා. 19000/= වෙන්නේ කේස් එකටත් එක්ක වෙන්න ඇති. උන් හොද කේස් එකක් දෙන්නේ. උන්ට කියලා නෝමල් කේස් එකකට මාරු කරගන්න පුළුවන්. එතකොට 1500 විතර අඩු වෙනවා. හැබැයි මම කියන්නේ උන් දෙන කේස් එක ගනිං. ඒකෙන් ගිටාර් එකට මාර ආරක්ෂාවක් දෙන්නේ. 19000 වුණාට ගාණ 17500/=කට විතර බස්සගන්න පුළුවන්. පොඩ්ඩක් අඩලා දොඩලා කිව්වම් උන් අඩු කරනවා.

මචන් මූ ගිටාර් වලට ආධුනිකයෙක්. ඒක නිසා ක්ලැසිකල් ගිටාර් එකක් ගන්න එක හරි නෑ. මූ Classical Style එක බැහැල කරන්න ගිටාර් එකක් ගන්නවනම් C40 එක ගන්න එකේ අවුලක් නෑ. ඒකයි මම ඕක ගැන කිව්වේ නැත්තේ.
