Motorcycles to use lights during day time as well from tomorrow

Police say that stern legal action will be dealt with effect from tomorrow against motorcyclists and three wheel drivers who attempt to overtake by disobeying road rules near color lights, railway crossings and at traffic controls.
The SSP also asked the motor cyclists to switch on their headlight during the day while using roads in the Western Province from tomorrow.
He said the motor cyclists will switch on headlights as a pioneer program expecting to reduce the number of motor cycle accidents.
He also reiterated that the rule applied for heavy vehicles, buses and lorries to move on the extreme left-lane would be strictly observed from tomorrow.

සංඥා ලාම්පු පවතින ස්ථාන, දුම්රිය හරස් මාර්ග සහ පොලිස් නිලධාරීන් සිටින ස්ථානවලදී යතුරුපැදි සහ ත්රිරෝද රථ අනෙකුත් වාහන අභිබවා මාර්ග නීති උල්ලංඝනය කරමින් ගමන් කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් හෙට සිට නීතිය දැඩිව ක්රියාත්මක කරන බව පොලීසිය පවසනවා. පොලිස් මාධ්ය ප්රකාශක ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ පොලිස් අධිකාරී අජිත් රෝහණ මේ බව කියා සිටියේ කොළඹ අද පැවති මාධ්ය හමුවකට එක්වෙමින්.
බස්නාහිර පළාත තුළ ගමන් කරන යතුරුපැදිකරුවන්ගෙන් පොලිස් මාධ්ය ප්රකාශකවරයා ඉල්ලා සිටියේ හෙට (23) දිනයේ දහවල් කාලයේදී යතුරුපැදියේ ප්රධාන විදුලි ලාම්පුව දල්වාගෙන ගමන් කරන ලෙසයි. බස්නාහිර පළාතේ යතුරුපැදි අනතුරු අවම කරගැනීමේ නියමු ව්යාපෘතියක් ලෙස මෙය ක්රියාත්මක කරන බවද ඔහු සඳහන් කළා.
බර වාහන, බස් රථ සහ ලොරි රථ මාර්ගයේ වම් පස මං තීරුවේ ගමන් කළ යුතුය යන නීතියද හෙට සිට දැඩිව ක්රියාත්මක කරන බවද පොලිස් මාධ්ය ප්රකාශකවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් කියා සිටියා.
