There's no fraudulent marketing here. That's how range is calculated.
But you are missing the point here. In day to day use, you rarely drive more than 100kms. If you charge everyday and your daily commute is less than 100km your fuel consumption is zero unlike bevs. So your logic only applies to long hauls. Even then I believe vezel's tank is 40L so its range is a lot less.
My point was to highlight the fact that if Chinese car makers out sold in Europe hence they cannot be of poor quality to do so. In your own quote you have confirmed it too. So thanks for doing research to prove my point.
About the CRV.. I compared it with the market segment or class of the vehicle, not the number of sales made. You clearly have a problem of fathoming the simplest form of English.

The point was to compare similar class of vehicles to see if the value we are getting is actually worth the price we pay for. Vezel Z play or whatever oddly named trim they have to offer is not in the same class as the Sealion. The latter is a bigger, comfier, modern vehicle. Its even bigger than the CRV
