Guys, I'm a graphic designer and 29yrs old. I'm thinking of changing my career but don't know how to begin.
no! I'm not fed-up with my current job. But I feel I can do much more as a developer than as a designer.

My mathematical knowledge is ok I guess(got C in A/L CM) and problem solving skills not bad either.
I used to play with VB and java early days. Created small programs like calc, ID Bday finder, ATM etc..
Then I got obsessed with photoshop and 3Dmax. So I haven't touched programing in ages.

If I followed something like BCS, will it enough as an academic qualification to get a job?
meanwhile, I will dig deep in to C++, C# and web scripting.

How is the demand for designer/developer hybrids?

Will I be more suitable as an UI/UX guy?

Do you guys know anyone who did successfully become a developer after 30?

please guys let me know your thoughts on this matter.
thank you.

If you have the skills they will hire you even after 50

Yes of course you can machan
But since you do not have experiences as a developer, you will have to start with a low salary. I do not know how good you are at development, but if you can do the interview successfully you still have a good chance to go for a good salary. But this depends machan. If you are good at UI and UX why do not you apply for UI/UX Engineer vacancies ? I have heard that it is also highly paid.
