cn sm1 please tel me, does cima giv extra credit to u when u apply for a job in IT industry ?

(sry Cima & Future 4 postin thz here:rolleyes: )

this is a tricky one..CIMA adds value without a doubt..but as when it comes to IT industry it depends on the position looking at..for an example if you are going in to coding area CIMA will not add value but if you are looking at Business Analyst role..definitely CIMA will add value it is like that :)

machan when you are starting your career in IT it doesn't need machan.I mean normally you start as a developer or ASE.then you are going up the ladder.normally like this.

Developer/ASE---->SE--->SSE--->Techlead

Upto techlead you don't need Management qualifications.But after that it's an advantage.It can be CIMA or MBA.Because there are two types of project managers.Those are normal project managers and technical project managaers.Most companies prefer technical project managers.Because they have vast knowledge.Others only have management qualifications.And it doesn't need A/Ls in IT industry.Only degree and talent :D

    In a CV the top most achievements are mentioned ... so if u have a degree and cima qualified as well dont worry about ALs .. Its good if u have ALs but AL is just an entrance gate to top eduactional levels .. since ure in that level dont worry about ALs machan besides there are alot of people like u without ALs who have achieved goals... Karana eka elata karapan machan... ;)

    Final conclusion is ... Its better to have ALs but for u (since u have a proper path for a degree and a professional qualification like cima) wont needing it...
    Best of luck for your future... :D
