Connect PeoTV receiver via Wifi?

කවුරු හරි මේ විදියට peo tv device එක wireless connect කරලා තියනවද?

දැනට අපි ADSL router එකට කෙලින්ම RJ45 cable එකකින් connect කරනවනේ PeoTV device එක


හිතන්නකෝ අපිට PeoTV device එක වෙන floor එකකට ගෙනියන්න වෙනවා පහල diagram එකේ වගේ. අපිට RJ45 එක floor හරහා ගෙනියන්නේ නැතිව, WiFi extender (or any device) එකකින් වගේ උඩ Wifi එකට connect කරලා ඒක PeoTV device එකට RJ45 cable connect කරලා PeoTV බලන්න පුලුවන්ද? එහෙම කරපු අය ඉන්නවද?

මොකද්ද use කරපු device එක?

use the cable connection. Especially if you watch the HD channels.
Using wifi for this will result in disruptions as the TV stream has high traffic and unless your wifi APcan handle MU-MIMO, it will slow down the WIFI network as well.

In the PeoTV router, create a new SSID and add it to the same VLAN as cable port 4.


Connect the WIFI repeater to this new SSID and makes ure to disable DHCP on the wifi repeater.

Just ask SLT to give you a extension cable. Did it for me. They sent one of their engineer and did the cabling. Simple as that

Machan need to find how to do this on the fiber router. Couldnt locate the vlan mapping on WLAN page.

PeoTV runs in separate VLAN , host a SSID for that VLAN get it to other extender , but dont expect smooth videos with wifi if u dont have good WIFI router

exact steps will change depending on the router model but steps are:

1. Create a new SSID in the WLAN settings.
2. in the advance settings of the SSID, select the same VLAN number that is assigned to the peoTV port

Thanks for the reply bro... I tried this on Fiber ZTE 660Router.. Looks like its not supported.
I have Few Extra routers / Access Points / Repeaters.... I tried bridging wireless ly... but it doesnot supporting...

is there any method to Plug in an Access point to PEO TV Lan 4 and broadcast the signal over wifi... Then I can connect to same wifi network using a repeater and then connect it to Peo STB Lan box

that should work as long as the VLAN Id is the same and there's no DHCP enabled for that SSID.
