I'm stucked with the PCRC's lerning... May remote is AKIRA.

The circuit works properly.

But in the learning process. It's only taking one as a right command and others are ont. I can't continue with this...

mata tikak pahadili ne ....umba buttons wena wenama learn kalada?mokakda una awula...I used Sony RM-AMU005 remort and my friend used that comes with dialogtv

Both of those softs working 100% perfectly with that simple circuit.

But you hv to change sime wires.

Guys,

Control ur PC with a TV remort 100% tested by me,you need to build simple ir reciver and use some softwares .....u'll gain full access....no need to buy a wireless mouse or keyboard....you can even move the mouse ,

My home made reciver....

First of all....
simply build this circuit

here i couldn't find TSOP1738 and i used HS0038...it works perfectly.....u can use any similar IR detector...
It'll cost u about Rs100 for this whole circuit.....

Then plug it to ur serial port....newer m/b don't have serial port in back pannel but u may could use internal serial header.....or u can find old IO card with serial ports if u don't even have a internal serial header;

then that's it...now we have to config softwares...
there are many like WinLIRC,Girder,PC Remote Control 4 ..etc
I found PC Remote Control 4 is the best and simpler....

I'll tell how to config software in next post.....don't know wheater u like this thread
