    Im going to upgread my cpu with new processor, motherboard & ram. using Intel G31 motherboard. so witch one is the best processor to buy,

    Core 2 Duo 2.80GHz or Quad Core 2.33GHz

    because i hope to use it in next 2, 3 years with good proformance without major upgread..

    The Q8200 is a lackluster in overclocking department.. But the E7400 is the other way around and considering it is like 7,8K cheaper than the Q8200 I would go with the E7400 if I were you.. And a Dual core CPU will withstand another 2,3 years IMO

    I think you are better off with a Q6600 its a brilliant Processor, Time tested, overclock like a charm, and wont cost you a hand and a Leg, and will definitely last at least 3 years, make sure you get a good cooler to overclock it tho.

    Q6600 is one of the harder to find CPUs at unity these days I guess :D
