I downloaded the entire book sometime back. To confess, I was too lazy to go through the whole thing.

Any idea on the actual power generation process? All I know is that it runs on Mercury, heated by sunlight and generating electricity to power the motors.

My question is: is this actually possible? How does mercury react when heated?

according to the legends, these vimaanas are capable of very high speeds. Is this mercury-vortex engine really possible!?

I once found a article describing the power generator. I can't remember the description exactly. But it does say the power generator didn't need fuel after it has been made. I think it could be Nuclear Power, or something we havent discovered yet (Cold Fusion, Zero Point Energy etc.)
